About the Neighborhood

Set upon rolling grasslands dotted with native cottonwood and aspen, Woodmen Hills is a relatively new development to the northeast of Colorado Springs easily accessed by Woodmen Road and provides sweeping views of the Front Range. The area is generally bordered by Highway 24 to the south, Stapleton Drive to the north, Eastonville Road to the east and Meridian Road bisecting the western edge. Woodmen Hills is one of the largest developments in the Colorado Springs area and is nestled near two of the oldest surviving rail towns serviced by the Colorado & Southern Railroad, Peyton and Falcon and has a rich history of pioneer and community involvement.

Daily life is convenient and modern in this neighborhood which is just far enough away from the city. The Falcon school district has its humble roots in the late 1800’s growing into a well-respected district which serves the residents of Woodmen Hills with a relatively low teacher to student ratio and impressive ACT/SAT scores. Daily shopping needs are only moments away at the Falcon Town Center located near the intersection of Woodmen Road and Highway 24. Upscale shopping at The Shops at Briargate or the Chapel Hills Mall is only 15 minutes away. The local Meadow Lake Airport serves smaller planes with two runways; over 255 planes call this busy airport home.

Convenient to the many businesses and military installations along or near the Powers Corridor, Woodmen Hills is a great place to find a newer home on a larger ½ to full acre lot. Woodmen Hills has an integrated and active community lifestyle approach with nearby Antler Creek Golf Course, neighborhood trails connecting schools, parks, and the golf course. Just south of Parkside at Woodmen Hills, the Rock Island Trail Head begins. This trail is an old railroad bed that, linking with other trails, goes as far as Cripple Creek. Woodmen Hills is located within the D49 Falcon School District. This school district is well known and popular with Colorado Springs families looking for a quality education.

Woodmen Hills Elementary School is located on Del Rio Road and is the neighborhood elementary school.  With a mascot of a tornado, the Woodmen Hills Elementary School is known for it's commitment to quality education. Students living in this neighborhood are districted to Falcon Middle School and Falcon High School.

Woodmen Hills Golf

Golfers in the Woodmen Hills area don't have far to go with the Antler Creek Golf Course right nearby. This course opened in 2004 and is one of Colorado's longest golf courses at over 8,000 yards. The golf course has 3 lakes, 73 bunkers and is a mix of Colorado terrain and native grasses giving it a unique "prairie dunes style".

The Creekview Grill offers a diverse menu, full bar, casual atmosphere, affordable pricing and a great place to hold special banquets or golfing events with seating up to 120 people. With facilities for events, specials on memberships and plenty of tee times, the golf club is a great amenity of the Woodmen Hills neighborhood.
