Promontory Pointe is a newer neighborhood in the TriLakes / Monument area. This area is located off of Baptist Road east of I-25 near between Leather Chaps and Kingswood Dr. The homes in Promontory Pointe have some amazing views towards Pikes Peak. The Monument Colorado Springs area (also known as TriLakes) is located at the northern edge of El Paso, County Colorado. Approximately 20 minutes north of Colorado Springs and 50 minutes south of Denver in Monument, Colorado. The zip code is 80132 in Monument and 80133 in Palmer Lake. Students in this area attend the Lewis Palmer School District 38.
The Monument area encompasses two municipalities, the City of Monument and the Town of Palmer Lake. There are actually three lakes in the area, Palmer Lake is located in the Town of Palmer Lake; Monument Lake is located in the town of Monument, and Lake Woodmoor is located in the Woodmoor subdivision which is just outside the city limits of Monument.
This area has seen sporadic growth and development since the mid-1800’s. Palmer Lake was originally a refueling stop on the Santa Fe railroad, while the Town of Monument grew from a ranching community into what is currently a large suburb between the two largest cities in the State.
