Forest View Estates is located on the south side of Highway 105 and is nestled against Mount Herman. Other areas of TriLakes / Monument include Woodmoor, Kings Deer, Jackson Creek, High Forest Ranch, Red Rock Ranch and Palmer Lake. Although this area is not known for new construction, new home builds in Monument can be found in Forest Lakes, Lake of the Rockies and Sanctuary Pointe. There are no townhomes for sale in Forest View Estates, but a few nearby in Palmer Lake.

About Monument, Colorado
The Monument Colorado Springs area (also known as TriLakes) is located at the northern edge of El Paso, County Colorado. Approximately 20 minutes north of Colorado Springs and 50 minutes south of Denver in Monument, Colorado. The zip code is 80132 in Monument and 80133 in Palmer Lake. Students in this area attend the Lewis Palmer School District 38.
The Monument area encompasses two municipalities, the City of Monument and the Town of Palmer Lake. There are actually three lakes in the area, Palmer Lake is located in the Town of Palmer Lake; Monument Lake is located in the town of Monument, and Lake Woodmoor is located in the Woodmoor subdivision which is just outside the city limits of Monument.
This area has seen sporadic growth and development since the mid-1800’s. Palmer Lake was originally a refueling stop on the Santa Fe railroad, while the Town of Monument grew from a ranching community into what is currently a large suburb between the two largest cities in the State.
People live in the Monument Colorado Springs area primarily because the area feels like Colorado. There are towering Ponderosa Pines and views of the Front Range. Additionally, this area provides easy access to both Colorado Springs and Denver.

Average highs in the winter are in the upper 30’s with average lows dropping down to 15-20 degrees. Summertime temperatures average 80-83 degrees with the lows in the 50s. The treed areas usually experience more snow during the winter than areas located further south, but the area is hard to beat for beautiful views, gorgeous homes and a reasonable commute to Denver.
