Things to Do in Colorado Springs this Weekend (Sept 16-Sept 17)


Fall is just around the corner! Sure doesn’t feel like it with the warmer than average weather around Colorado Springs lately. Oktoberfests, harvest fests, and porchfests are kicking off this weekend and are sure to get you in the fall mood. Also, raise money and participate in our local Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Things to Do This Weekend

Pawtoberfest – Sat Sept 16, 10:00am-3:00pm, Bear Creek Regional Park

Admission: $50. A beer fest that includes the pups! Enjoy brews, a 2-mile walk, vendors, pet contests, and much more! This event helps our local Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. For more info, visit: Pawtoberfest.

Oktoberfest – Sat Sept 16, 1:00pm-3:00pm, Phantom Canyon Brewing Co.

Admission: $30-$50. Phantom Canyon Brewing Co. is hosting their Oktoberfest this Saturday. In true Oktoberfest style, there will be German food, beer, and giveaways! For more info, visit: Phantom Canyon Brewing Co.

Backyard Harvest Fest – Sat Sept 16, 9:00am-5:00pm, Phelan Gardens 4955 Austin Bluffs Pkwy

Admission: Free. Fall is for planting! Phelan Gardens will feature gardening classes, demos, and all the lovely plants at their harvest fest. For more info, visit: Phelan Gardens.

​Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Sat Sept 16, 7:00am-12:00pm, America the Beautiful Park

Admission: Free, however donations encouraged. Raise money for Alzheimer’s research and attend the 3-mile and 1-mile walk around downtown Colorado Springs. For more info, visit: Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Patty Jewett Porchfest – Sun Sept 17, 12:00pm-6:00pm, Patty Jewett neighborhood 1355 Lindenwood Grove

Admission: Free. Neighbors from all around come together to enjoy four bands on four different porches around the greater Patty Jewett area. Lots of food trucks and kids activities. For more info, visit: Facebook Event Page.
