New Construction Guide to Colorado Springs

Tired of being one of the multiple bids on a home that didn’t win? The Colorado Springs real estate market has been very competitive lately, and finding a home to buy and getting your offer accepted is challenging. Many home buyers are turning to new construction to help alleviate the inventory problem. 

We have compiled a list of areas and neighborhoods of new construction in the Colorado Springs area to help provide you a guide to where to start looking.

Before you get started:

  • Decide on your price point. Knowing this ahead of time reduces the number of neighborhoods and builders to look at and helps you focus on other priorities like schools, amenities, and neighborhoods.
  • Using a Realtor for new construction is highly recommended. The builder already has the cost of a Realtor factored into the sales price. Not using a Realtor leaves you unrepresented and the builder with more money. The Realtor can help you with issues such as negotiations, issues with resale, comparisons to other neighborhoods and knowing what you could also get in a home that is a few years old.
  • Take your Realtor with you the first time you visit the builder. Many builders require the introduction the first time you visit your neighborhood or they will not recognize the representation.
