Powers
|
The Powers corridor has been the fastest growing part of the Pikes Peak region for a number of years. This overwhelming popularity is due in large part to this areas close proximity to the Colorado Springs Airport as well as Shriver and Peterson Air Force Bases. Additionally, affordable housing, newer retail and commercial as well as some incredible views of the Front Range have all combined to fuel this area’s rapid growth. The Powers corridor is located on the eastern edge of Colorado Springs, bordered to the west by Powers Blvd. and to the east by Marksheffel Road, Woodmen Rd. to the north and the Colorado Springs Airport to the south. Solidly suburban, there are no homes on acreage or national forest in this area but there’s still plenty to do. This area is well planned and is home to some of the city’s newest parks. Golfers can enjoy “Cherokee Ridge” and “Springs Ranch” golf clubs, both are public courses conveniently located in the heart of the Powers area. Baseball fans can watch the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, the Triple A top affiliate on the National League Champion Colorado Rockies. Security Service Field, home to the Sky Sox is also located in the heart of the Powers area. Absorption Rates For The Powers Area: 2008
