West

The west side of Colorado Springs is bordered to the east by Downtown Colorado Springs, to the south by Old Colorado City, to the north by the Northwest area and to the west by Public lands and National Forest.

This area is home to The Garden of the Gods Club, Kissing Camels Club, Glen Eyrie and the Garden of the Gods Park. The west area doesn’t have the same type of residential density we see in other parts of town because private clubs and protected and public lands take up a large portion of this area. Still, this area features a diverse range of housing styles and options, just not in great abundance.

This area features a good amount of retail and commercial. Additionally, the areas proximity to downtown and I-25 make it a convenient location for day-to-day living.

Schools in this area are Colorado Springs School District #11. Additionally, this area is close to both Colorado College and The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

People live in the West part of Colorado Springs for its convenience and its proximity to the natural beauty this area has to offer. Although there aren’t a lot of homes in this area, there is a wide range of choices.

The west part of Colorado Springs is a popular but often overlooked area. If location, convenience and natural beauty are on your list, this might be your area.
