Inventory

Inventory is the supply side of “supply and demand”. In the Colorado Springs real estate market the downward dip we see just before November doesn’t signify an up swing in buyer activity. This is our normal (sellers: We’ll take it off the market and try again after the holidays) dip in inventory.

Colorado Springs is a cyclical real estate market and although homes sell year round, the busiest months are definitely from April through July. This chart is slightly skewed because of the expiration of the federal tax credits for homebuyer was in April. This pulled from the next few quarters of homebuyer activity, this is the only explanation we can come up with for an inventory spike during the normally busy summer months.
